The Irina Quartet was formed at the Xenia Chamber Music Course in 2021 in Pracatinat, Turin, Italy. The name of the group comes from the first piece played at the Course itself, Shostakovich’s Ninth Quartet, dedicated to his wife Irina. Since then, they have delved into the quartet repertoire under the guidance of musicians such as Elizabeth Wilson, Daniel Roberts (Castalian Quartet), Steffan Morris (Castalian Quartet), Claudia Ravetto, Adrian Pinzaru (delian::quartett), Marc Danel (Quatuor Danel), Simon Rowland-Jones, Christophe Giovaninetti. They perform in Turin for music festivals including “incontri di musica da camera” (Evergreen Fest), “sincronie urbane”, oft lab; “Ri_generazione lirica” (Milan); “Sonate d’Automne” (Lasalle en Cevennes, France).

The Petra String Quartet was born in August 2023 from the artistic and professional collaboration between violinists Ludovico Furlani and Gioele Pierro, violist Chiara Tomassetti and cellist Viola Pregno Bongiovanni. The formation is followed with great didactic constancy by Maestro Claudia Ravetto, former cello of the Quartetto Borciani, and deepens the study repertoire with renowned personalities in the international chamber music environment, including Daniel Roberts, Christophe Giovaninetti, Simon Rowland-Jones, Christophe Coin, Hendrik Blumenroth, Matthias Lingenfelder, Andreas Moscho, Enrico Pace, Ivan Rabaglia and Giacomo Agazzini.

The repertoire of chamber music study and sound research is extremely eclectic, ranging from Haydn’s early quartets to Prokofiev’s compositions.
